Fluid Art
I am a huge fan of abstract fluid art. Doing acrylic pours is very gratifying and can be relaxing. The Dutch Pour is the technique in most of the social media sites. This type of pour is created with a specific mixture of paint and paint medium to help the consistency of the paint to flow. The canvas is prepped with a base coat of color. Then the other colors are added, typically dark to light. Once the colors have been added, the area around the new colors is 'flooded' with the base color so that the colors will be able to easily flow once air is added to the painting. Every painting I do this way, surprises me with the colors and the lace or cells that it creates and the mixtures of colors that takes place. I love the outcome every time!
